1.
The lobby of Farthing Auditorium is also an art gallery,
the Catherine Smith Gallery. A member of the Farthing
Auditorium house staff must be present during all receptions
held in the lobby area, as well as any extraneous lobby
activity associated with backstage events.
2. Non-University units
wishing to schedule receptions in the facility will be
required to submit a refundable deposit, the amount of
which will be based upon the anticipated size of the
reception.
3. The Director of Arts and Cultural Programs will, in consultation as necessary
with the Vice Chancellor for Advancement, approve the use of alcoholic
beverages in Farthing Auditorium. This approval should be obtained in
writing no less than two weeks prior to the event.
4. Receptions will be
confined to the lobby area. Permission to use food vendors
other than the University Food Service must be obtained
through Appalachian State University's Business Affairs
Office.
5. All liability arising
out of receptions at Farthing Auditorium will be assumed
by the user. All outside users must present proof of
appropriate insurance coverage.
6. All users
are required to use the Farthing Auditorium system
for their ticketed events. Arrangements must be made
through the Box Office Manager for this service at
least four weeks prior to the event.
