| 1. No persons shall arrive or enter the building prior to agreed upon
schedule. Facility schedule is determined at time of scheduling meeting.
2. A staff member must be present at all times the facility is open to users
or the public. Any changes in the schedule must be approved 48 hours in
advance by the Technical Director and the Director of Arts and Cultural
Programs.
3. No decorations, tables, signs, food or drink shall be placed in any rooms,
hallways, lobby or other areas without the permission of the management.
Any tables or other items permitted must be set up in areas designated by the
management and removed following their use. Any damages incurred by the
violation of this rule will be paid by the party responsible for damage.
4. No decorations or signs are allowed on the building exterior or sidewalk. Those
in violation will be removed.
5. The user shall not obstruct any portion of the sidewalks, entries, hallways,
stairs or other egress from the building, including access to all building utilities.
6. Farthing Auditorium has been designated a smoke-free facility. The user shall
not permit smoking in any area of the theater, backstage areas or the control
room at any time. Smoking is permitted outside the building only.
7. Animals will not be allowed in the facility for any reason other than use in the
show and only during rehearsal and/or performance. This privilege must be
secured through the Technical Director during planning meetings and no less
than 4 weeks in advance. The Technical Director does have the right to refuse
the use of animals for any reason. Cost related to any damages caused by an
animal will be the sole responsibility of the user.
8. Classification A users are required to furnish an SPA or EPA staff person to be
present during the entire period that the auditorium is requested. This person
will serve as a liaison between the user and the auditorium staff to ensure
that auditorium policy is followed. This person must be in addition to any
performers, speakers, or others specifically involved in the program. ALL
STAGE, LIGHT OR SOUND CUES FOR ANY PRODUCTION WILL REQUIRE THE
PRESENCE OF QUALIFIED STAGE ASSISTANTS.
9. All outside production companies must be approved by the Technical Director 6
weeks prior to an event.
10. A limit of a sustained 95db will be enforced. Peaking is limited to 110db.
11. Due to Fire Regulations, there can be no obstructions in aisles. This includes
standing or dancing in aisle areas.
